Timbercrete houses in New Z...

Description
At last; a cost effective solid masnory building system is available in New Zealand. Timbercrete is energy efficient, environmentally friendly, totally fireproof, requires little maintenance and it won't rot.

To satisfy discerning New Zealanders, The Timbercrete Building System is available as 2 types of light-weight solid masonry building systems;

The "CLASSIC" block. This construction employs the use of our unusual, but very popular 'cobblestone' block. Over 1,000 structures have now been built. The blocks simulate sandstone/limestone and the unique feature is the way light plays on each individually crafted block. This look provides an ageless, 'olde worlde' charm that is only available at the high end of the market.....and yet, construction costs are comparable to boring brick veneer construction.

The "CONTEMPORARY" block. This block is used with the same construction technique employed with the more expensive light-weight concrete block (aerated concrete). The blocks are 'glued' using thin-bed mortar and the exterior plastered to achieve the contemporary monolithic look that is very popular in New Zealand. However, as Timbercrete is more durable, the 'natural stone' look can be left, creating inexpensive 'feature stone walls'.

Timbercrete challenges you to delve into this site....discover why solid masonry construction is so superior, being the most popular building system in the world, and we believe, you too will become empowered and make your own conclusion that "I'll never build with 'stick framing' again".
