Description
Milk is a new ‘contemporary’ baby store owned and operated by business partners Malcolm Cleugh and Jenni Saunders.

The inspiration for Milk came from our own frustrations at trying to source excellent baby products.

As new parents, Mal Cleugh and his wife Nicola Thomas had to spend hours trawling the internet to find the type of products they wanted and required for their baby daughter. As an aunty (and honorary aunty) many times over, Jenni struggled to find quality gifts for her favourite small people and their parents.

Between them they decided that it was time that people could source all the best products from one single store and receive great advice and service at the same time.

Hence as Mia Cleugh (now almost two!) grew so too did the concept for Milk. We were thrilled to finally open our store in November 2005.
We believe parenting is one of our most important roles. It is a hugely rewarding journey but also one filled with challenges and decisions that we must make on behalf of our children.

We want to help you make the right decisions. From the start our commitment has always been to support parents in raising their babies in healthy and positive environments.

This commitment is reflected in our product research and consequent product range. Re-usable nappies, modular furniture and natural clothing fabrics offer benefits for babies, parents and the environment.
Of course parenting (and growing up if you are a small person) should be fun too – check out our cowhide booties, flat out bears and wheely bugs!
Currently we offer a relaxing in-store shopping experience and we can supply products via mail order. Soon we will offer you the convenience of website shopping so watch this space for developments...

Milk is located at 1025 Ferry Road, Ferrymead, Christchurch, New Zealand.

Ferry Road is the main road that takes you from the Christchurch city centre to Sumner. We are at the Sumner end, in a small retail complex between the big Woolworths supermarket and Casual & Country (on the left hand side of the road as you head away from town).

We are situated off the road for your children’s safety and we have plenty of easy parking at the door.
