The goal of Energy Conscious Design is to increase the popularity of solar hot water systems in New Zealand with an emphasis on a quality product and most applicable installation.

For too long now the response to solar hot water heating marketing has been, “but solar hot water systems don’t have a realistic payback and are not financially viable”. This response is no longer valid.

Without compromising on quality we can provide a cost effective solar hot water system that is able to provide realistic paybacks of between 4 to 7 years. This compares to 8 to 12 years for some other typical systems.
