Healthy Lifestyles Expo 2008
Sunday, October 19, 2008 - Sunday, October 19, 2008
Helen Algar of HALO Community network says HALO is delighted to announce the 2008 Lifestyle Expo will be held on the 19th October 2008, venue's Waitaki Recreation Centre and Orana Park.
The Expo aims to promote, educate, and support the Waitaki Community in the areas of health, well being and environmental sustainability.
Mrs Algar say's the 2008 Expo will build on previous ones and will promote healthy lifestyles. This year in addition to showcasing community groups and organisations there will be an Eco component with an opportunity for some 'hands on' learning.
The Expo will incorporate activities during the three week lead in to the event. These activities will include but not be limited to workshops, physical activity challenges, demonstrations, presentations and competitions. The 'Back to the Future' theme will incorporate sharing skills across generations.
The Healthy life style expo is Being held in Oamaru and will be incorporating Eco living in conjunction with healthy living. There is also 3 weeks lead in time where there will be workshops, Eco events, dance day and healthy living ideas.:)
You can get to the event by carpooling to Oamaru. Check out this link.
